A Bit About Me
I often joke that an extraordinary AP Psychology class in high school set everything in motion. What stayed with me, though, was a lasting curiosity about how people make sense of themselves and their experiences—something that continues to guide my work today.
I’m a licensed psychologist in California with experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals; Black, Indigenous, and People of the Global Majority (BIPGM); and older adults. My training spans community mental health, hospital settings, and university counseling centers, where I’ve supported clients through life transitions, relationship issues, school/ work performance issues, and identity development.
As a first-generation Vietnamese American who was socialized as a cisgender woman and gay, I bring both clinical training and lived experience into the therapy room. I understand how culture, family, and marginalization can shape the way we move through the world—and how meaningful it can be to have a space where all of those parts are welcomed.
Therapy doesn’t have to feel rigid or distant. Alongside depth and reflection, there can also be moments of ease, curiosity, and even humor. I value creating a space where you can not only do meaningful work, but also experience therapy as something engaging, human, and at times, unexpectedly enjoyable.
If you’re curious about where to begin, I welcome your questions.
